Terms and Conditions for SplitRig

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the SplitRig iOS application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

SplitRig provides a tool for dual-camera recording and live streaming on iOS devices. The App includes features to display real-time, sensor-based widgets, including but not limited to health metrics, navigational telemetry, acoustic levels, and environmental data.

Compliance: You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws.
Age Requirement: By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age.
Content & Consent: You are solely responsible for the content you stream or record. You represent that you will comply with all privacy and "two-party consent" laws; SplitRig is not liable for your failure to obtain necessary permissions from recorded third parties.
Permissions: To use specific features, you must grant access to the Camera, Microphone, Health Data, and Location.

Thermal & Hardware Risk: Dual-camera recording is a high-intensity task. You assume all risk for hardware damage, including overheating, battery degradation, screen "burn-in," melting, or fire. SplitRig is not responsible for hardware failure resulting from thermal stress.
No Environmental Protection: SplitRig is software and provides no physical protection. We are not liable for damage caused by water, snow, moisture, or impact.
Action Safety: Do not operate the App while operating a motor vehicle, bicycle, or performing high-risk physical activity. Never look at the screen while in motion. Always configure your "Rig" before starting your activity.
Telemetry & Fitness Disclaimer: All on-screen data—including speed, distance, altitude, heart rate, calories, pace, and acoustic levels—are informational estimates for entertainment purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional medical, navigational, or vehicle equipment. We do not guarantee data accuracy.
Medical Disclaimer: SplitRig is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose or monitor any medical condition. Never rely on the App for health-related decisions.
4. Third-Party Services, Advertising & Overlays

Streaming & Interactive Content: You may transmit data to third-party platforms (e.g., YouTube, Twitch). SplitRig may allow for the display of third-party interactive overlays (such as chat). We do not monitor or control this content; you are solely responsible for managing these elements.
Account Security: You are responsible for the confidentiality of your streaming credentials and stream keys.
Apple Inc. Disclaimer: You acknowledge these Terms are between you and SplitRig, not Apple Inc. Apple has no maintenance or support obligations for the App.
5. Intellectual Property

The SplitRig name, logo, and all code/design are the exclusive property of the developer. You are granted a limited, non-transferable license for personal or professional use.

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS." WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT YOUR DATA WILL BE SAVED WITHOUT LOSS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPLITRIG SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
Personal Injury or Death: Any injury to yourself or third parties resulting from App use (e.g., distracted driving or action sports accidents).
Property Damage: Damage to your iPhone, vehicle, or the property of others.
Hardware Failure: Total loss of device due to overheating or battery failure.
Legal Violations: Fines or legal action taken against you while using the App.

SplitRig does not currently include third-party advertisements or tracking pixels. Should this change in the future, we will update these Terms and request your explicit consent where required by law.

We reserve the right to terminate access to the App at our sole discretion for conduct that violates these Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan. Any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Tokyo, Japan.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SplitRig and its developer from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

If any provision is held to be invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
